KickLog Support

KickLog records your football matches: Apple Watch records, iPhone analyzes. Below are common questions. If you can’t find an answer, email kicklogsupport@gmail.com.

This page is available in English and Chinese. If you use KickLog in another language, please refer to the English version.

Getting started

Do I need to create an account?

No. KickLog has no account system and no servers of its own. With iCloud sync on, your matches are stored in your own iCloud and follow your Apple Account.

How do I record a match?

Open KickLog on your Apple Watch and tap “Kick Off”. Recording starts after a 3-second countdown. Leave your phone in your bag.

KickLog isn’t on my Watch

Can I use KickLog without an Apple Watch?

Recording matches needs an Apple Watch. Without one you can still look around the app, or import past Soccer workouts from Health in Settings → Health → Import from Health.

My Watch says “Health access needed” and won’t kick off

Kicking off needs permission to write to Health. Turn it on in iPhone Health → Apps → KickLog, then go back to your Watch and kick off. You can check what’s allowed in KickLog under Settings → Health → Health access.

Match sync

I finished a match, but it’s not on my iPhone

iCloud sync and new phones

What syncs to iCloud?

With iCloud sync on, your matches, your pitches, nickname, avatar, position and settings sync to your own iCloud. Heart rate, calories and body data (age, weight, etc.) never sync to iCloud. They stay on this iPhone and in Health, and achievements stay on this iPhone. See the Privacy Policy for details.

iCloud sync isn’t working

If a sync fails, the matches on this iPhone are kept.

How do I get my matches back on a new phone or after reinstalling?

Sign in on the new iPhone with the same Apple Account, open KickLog and turn on iCloud sync. Your past matches come back from iCloud. Heart rate and body data are read back from Health, and achievements are recalculated.

If iCloud sync was off, export a backup file in Settings → Data → Backup & Restore (“Export backup”), then use “Import backup” on the new phone. Backup files contain health data and the places where you played, and they are not password-protected, so keep them safe.

Does turning off iCloud sync delete my data in iCloud?

No. When it’s off, new matches and changes stay only on this iPhone. What’s already in iCloud isn’t deleted, and it all syncs again when you turn it back on. To delete KickLog’s data in iCloud, go to iPhone Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

KickLog Pro and subscriptions

What is a Trial match?

Your first 3 matches recorded on 1.0 or later (20+ min of active time, no imports) are Trial matches. They keep their Pro analysis forever, even without KickLog Pro (trends, export and more not included).

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions renew automatically. Turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends and you won’t be charged again; your membership then lasts until the end of the current period. If the yearly plan comes with a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you won’t be charged.

KickLog Pro is missing after a new phone or reinstall

In KickLog, go to Settings → Membership → “Restore Purchases”, or tap “Restore” at the bottom of the subscription page. Make sure the App Store is signed in with the Apple Account you used to buy.

Where do I redeem a code?

In KickLog, go to Settings → Membership → “Redeem Code”, or tap “Redeem Code” at the bottom of the subscription page.

My purchase says “Purchase pending”

For example, it’s waiting for Ask to Buy approval. Membership turns on once it’s approved; you don’t need to buy again.

How do I request a refund?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
